 | 228779 | Oct 19, 2005 10:18am | I was thinking about great deals this morning as I was bicycling. My best deal is the bicycle I was riding. I found it free . . . in the trash about four years ago. It is a 15 speed in pretty good shape. It does have some rust, particularly on a few of the spokes. Both tires have been replaced (they were rotted). And both wheels have been trued. Other than that, it has been a great bicycle - I ride it a lot, at least in spurts.
What are some great deals you have gotten? |

Years ago I bought a VW rabbit from a mechanic friend of mine, he was selling it for a guy who joined the Army & needed to unload it fast. It was in perfect shape and I got it for $500. Worked great, ran like a dream and was even valued at top blue book after I totaled it (hit a deer).
